Random Thoughts on Minorities
As an individual with natal disabilities who has experienced treatment similar to that afforded to GLBTQIA individuals and other minorities, I would argue that the similarities in treatment afforded to the GLBTQIA community and those individuals in other minority groups negates and vitiates any allegations of conflation. In my experience individuals who accuse me of conflation have no other arguments to advance.
I have seen many things in my life as a paralegal and an advocate that warrant taking such a position, I will not apologize for adopting a stance consistent with my personal experience, it is extremely insulting is being accused of conflation.
When you witness instances of individuals with disabilities being beaten because, they are attempting to exercise their First Amendment rights and their rights under the Ninth Amendment or you witness individuals with disabilities being browbeaten during an impermissible search and seizure then such allegations will possibly possess some merit.
